📜📜 TEXT GENESIS 20:1-8
🔑📖 KEY VERSE
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
The doctrine of restitution teaches that you make right your past wrongs, in obedience to scriptural command and as part of your spiritual cleansing process.
Ecclesiastes 3:15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requires that which is past.
There are things God wants you to put right in order to give you peace and make the people around you confirm your new life in Christ.
2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Restitution is a hard thing to do because it involves confessing secret sins that often bring about shame and embarrassment. But having done it, it gives peace to the mind and convinces those around you of your genuine conversion and new life
in Christ Jesus.
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Some of the areas restitution may be required include the following:
(a) Pay that which you owe, however long or small the debt is.
(b) Forgive those who offended you, in love.
(c) Make peace with people as much as it is possible, and seek their forgiveness.
(d) Return to the owners things you have stolen or defrauded.
(e) Disclaim false result or certificate used or possessed by you.
(f) Get out of your wrong marriage relationship because of Jesus and your eternal soul.
(g) Confess your lies and falsehood to those you have affected or confused.
(h) Own up to the truth you previously denied.
(i) Make peace between people in disagreement, in the name of Jesus.
